An art exhibit will be opened in Tehran today to show the painting and graphic works of Saudi Princess Nouf Bint Bandar.

The exhibition, scheduled to be inaugurated by Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei, will be held at the Blue Hall of Niavaran cultural compound.

The week-long display of photography and paintings of Arab countries will be sponsored jointly by ICHHTO and the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Tehran.

Princess Nouf who is the director of the Riyadh-based Lahd Gallery of Fine Arts, which opened in December 2005, believes being a female director has made it easier for other Saudi women to approach her to promote their work.

The princess had organized another art exhibition last year named 'Eye on Jeddah', which showcased more than 50 works of art by 25 female artists mainly from Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province and the city of Jeddah.
